For more than a century, cast gold restorations have been the reference in restorative dentistry in terms of longevity and predictability.

Still today, clinical evidence is showing us outstanding results using this type of restoration.  The technique developed by Richard V. Tucker, implemented by many practitioners worldwide has proven to be particularly effective, predictable and of remarkable beauty.

What is it all about?  How do cavity design and preparation differ from conventional design?  A step by step description of the procedure from treatment planning to final seating will be described, emphasizing specifically on cavity design.

Bio:  Dr. Ciaburro obtained his DMD from the Université de Montréal and a multidisciplinary residency certificate from the Montreal’s Jewish Hospital.  Plus, a Master’s Degree in prosthodontics from the Université de Montréal and Fellowship from the Canadian Royal College of Dentists. Dr. Ciaburro is an associate professor at the faculty of dental medicine of the Université de Montréal and maintains a private practice limited to prosthodontics in Montréal.  He has been teaching gold restorations to undergraduate students for over 15 Years and is an active member of the Academy of R.V. Tucker Study Clubs.
