Our Four Main Objectives:
The Canadian Academy of Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics (CARDP) was formed in 1992 via amalgamation of two previously existing groups; The Canadian Academy of Prosthodontics (CAP) and The Canadian Academy of Restorative Dentistry (CARD).
CARDP has a long history to promote and improve the dental health of Canadians and expand the talents of our members. CARDP is an accredited ADA_CERP provider and welcomes all dental practitioners and individuals interested in the art and science of dentistry to our annual scientific meeting held across Canada.
The Canadian Academy of Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics (CARDP) is a not-for-profit, member-based organization that has Four Main Objectives:
- To promote the improvement of the health of the Canadian public, through the advancement of the art and science of restorative and prosthetic dentistry.
- To promote the highest standard of professional ethics among its members and amongst the members of the dental profession.
- To encourage the quality and the quantity of teaching of restorative and prosthetic dentistry in Canadian university dental schools.
- To provide continuing education in restorative and prosthetic dentistry for its members and for members of the dental profession in Canada.
The membership of CARDP consists of invited and proposed (sponsored) individuals who have earned peer recognition for their aptitude in the practice or teaching of restorative dentistry and/or prosthetic dentistry.
The Canadian Academy of Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics is an ADACERP Recognized Provider. ADACERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADACERP does not approve or endorse individual activities or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry. Canadian Academy of Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics designates this activity for two Full Day Hands on Courses 7each, Friday Lecture Attendance 7.5, Saturday Lecture attendance 7 continuing education credits.
